This house is just 2km walk from the village of Grezels which has a wonderful old restaurant. The village is situated on a bend in the Lot River as it snakes its way through geometrically patterned rows of vines 4km towards the charming riverside town of Puy L'Eveque. Here there is a choice of restaurants, bars and cafes as well as a good range of shops.
This house is a good base from which to explore the Lot Valley. Driving east you pass Prayssac, where there is a good market on Fridays, and other attractive riverside villages such as Albas, Luzech and Caix, where the Queen of Denmark has a chateau. Further on you come to Caillac and Douelle, where there is a rather good fish restaurant. From there it is only a short drive to Cahors with its blues festival, Wednesday and Saturday market, plus a whole host of shops, restaurants and cafes to choose from.
