Spain is undeniably one of the top villa holiday destinations. It's ideal for a villa break, with its sunny climate, fabulous coastline, relaxed way of life and great food. There will always be a very good choice of villas in Spain, simply because there are so many of them – in fact the problem is often in knowing where to start looking!
Because there are so many villa holiday hot spots in Spain, we've made your search easier by splitting the country into holiday regions. To help you decide on a region we have an introductory page about villa holidays for each area, including maps and climate information or you can go straight to a villa search using the search boxes on this page.
Villaseek's villa listings for the Spanish mainland are split into the areas of the Costa Brava, Costa Blanca, Costa de Almería, Costa del Sol and the Costa de la Luz.
Villas in Costa Brava: Lying between the French border to the north and Barcelona to the south, the Costa Brava area includes villas on the Costa Brava itself, the Costa Dorada, the Costa del Azahar and villas in northern Spain in the area known as 'Green Spain'.
Villas in Costa Blanca: Moving south, the Costa Blanca area covers a 170 mile stretch of Spain's east coast. It is centred on Alicante and extends to Denia in the north and La Manga and Cartagena in the south.
Villas in Costa de Almeria: On the south-east coast of Spain, the Costa de Almería includes part of Andalucia. On the coast, the Mojácar area is particularly well supplied with privately owned holiday villas.
Villas in Costa del Sol: On Spain's southern coast, the Costa del Sol region covers villas in the rest of Andalucia, as well as holiday apartments and villas on the highly developed coast stretching from near Gibraltar in the west to Nerja and Motril in the east, which includes resorts such as Marbella, Torremolinos and Fuengirola.
Villas in Costa de la Luz: Finally, the Costa de la Luz region takes us round Spain's southern tip at Tarifa and right up the coast of Spain to the Portuguese border.
Villas in Balearic Islands: South of mainland Spain, the Balearics, include Mallorca (Majorca) the largest and most popular villa holiday destination, Menorca second in size, the ever popular Ibiza and lesser known Formentera.
Villas in Canary Islands: In the Atlantic Ocean off the northwest coast of Africa, the Canary Islands are an autonomous community of Spain. Very popular for villa breaks and holidays, they include Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Palma.
