A Macchja is a smart villa on the sought-after Fromentica hillside. Outside, it is painted a cheery sunflower yellow with lavender blue shutters. Inside, it is uncluttered with pale sofas, whitewashed walls and light beige floor tiles, making it look luminous and airy. From the terrace, St Florent, less than a 5-minute drive away, is hidden by a curve of the hillside and there are views of the bay, the Desert des Agriates and a scattering of properties spread out across the neighbouring hillside.

Like many houses designed with holidays in mind, A Macchja has an intergrated living room and kitchen so you can prepare and cook meals in company. For those more inclined towards reading and relaxing, two cream sofas and two steamer-style chairs are arranged in front of the fireplace. This main room has two sets of large sliding doors leading out to a covered summer dining terrace and beyond this is the delightful swimming pool.

NB Property is unsuitable for toddlers.
